Dr. Andrew Magsumbol
I earned my bachelor’s degree in 2005 for Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I decided to pursue a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic – West Campus (PCCW) in San Jose, which I earned in 2014.
As a former high school athlete in track and field and wrestling, and as a current athlete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and boxing, I've definitely had my own fair share of injuries that have benefited from conservative treatment.
As a member of the Palmer College of Chiropractic -West Sports Council, I’ve had the privilege to work with many awesome athletes in a variety of events around the Bay Area such as the North Face Endurance Challenge, Sea Otter Classic, and the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk for the Cure.
I currently with work many athletes in my clinic; from gymnasts, mixed martial artists, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu players, power lifters, golfers, marathon runners, triathletes, baseball players, basketball players, football players, water polo athletes, yogis, and track and field athletes to name a few. How I treat my patients is by creating a personalized approach tailored to their specific sports/activity or day-to-day needs. I accomplish this using many different modalities that I am certified in, making my treatments all-encompassing. I am certified in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Stick Mobility, Graston Technique, Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR), and RockTape. I have had full body training in Active Release (spine, upper extremity, and lower extremity) and have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training through Yoga Belly in Mountain View, CA.
In my spare time, I enjoy practicing yoga, training in Brazilian jiu jitsu, boxing training, surfing, golfing, stand-up paddle boarding, and going on many fun adventures with my two awesome dogs.
